Central Cables Berhad Expands Production Capacity With New Facility in Senawang
Melaka, Malaysia — 18 March 2025 – Central Cables Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading cable and wire manufacturers, proudly announces the launch of its new production facility in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. The expansion marks a major milestone in the company’s commitment to meeting growing demand from local infrastructure projects and international export markets.
The new facility, which spans over 3 acres, will increase Central Cables’ overall output capacity by 40%, enabling the company to cater to large-scale utility, construction, and energy developments across Southeast Asia.
“This new plant is more than just a facility — it’s a strategic step toward becoming a regional powerhouse in cable manufacturing,” said Mr. Lim Wei Jin, CEO of Central Cables Berhad. “We’ve invested heavily in advanced machinery and automation to improve quality, efficiency, and speed without compromising our strict compliance standards.”
The Senawang facility will focus on the production of medium- to high-voltage XLPE power cables, aerial bundled conductors, and customized industrial-grade wiring, with integrated quality control systems aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and SIRIM standards.
Central Cables Berhad now operates two manufacturing plants — one in Batu Berendam, Melaka and the newly operational Senawang plant, strengthening the company’s ability to deliver critical infrastructure components with shorter lead times and scalable logistics support.
This expansion also includes a plan to create over 120 new skilled jobs in engineering, operations, and logistics within the first 12 months of operations.
