Melaka – Staying true to our belief in “Building Together, Beyond Business”, Central Cables Berhad recently took part in a gotong-royong (community clean-up) initiative at Taman Hijau Batu Berendam — just a few kilometers from our headquarters.
Organized in partnership with the local city council and neighborhood association, the half-day event saw over 40 Central Cables employees roll up their sleeves to clean, plant, and repaint public areas, including the children’s playground, walking paths, and a community gazebo.
“We don’t just work in this area — we live here, too,” said Ms. Noraini Zulkifli, HR & Admin Manager. “Being involved in local efforts like this helps us stay connected to the people and environment around us.”
Beyond just cleaning, the team also donated 10 new benches and replanted flower beds along the park walkway to promote greener, more enjoyable spaces for families and residents.
This initiative is one of many small steps Central Cables Berhad is taking under its Community Engagement program, encouraging staff involvement and meaningful contributions to the neighborhoods that surround us.
